Samantha Pleet MYTH dress SS13
As part of all the Fashion Week activities that have been going on, I went to my super talented and amazing pal Samantha Pleet’s presentation for her newest collection, The Sands Of Time! Samantha draws a lot from history for inspiration and the light pastel color pallete is really refreshing, making me wish Fall and Winter could be skipped and Spring could be here already (even though my allergies wish otherwise). However amongst a sea of pastels, my eye is drawn straight to the indigo blue dress “Babel” dress which is my dream piece from the bunch.

The SS13 collection draws from ancient societies of the Fertile Crescent
and the 19th century explorers that rediscovered them. Pleet brings together
ancient silhouettes with practical details and modern silhouettes with mythical
feelings. The subtle, tonal color palette is bright and airy, and the house
designed prints are reminiscent of precious artifacts.
